  • Mr. Cono
    In Memoriam

Charlie Cono's real estate career began in the early 1950's when he moved to San Diego from Washington D.C. Mr. Cono developed many single and multi-family projects in southern California on his own prior to the formation of HCA. He was a true entrepreneur. He turned many of his interests and hobbies into successful businesses. One of those hobbies was horse racing. One of the highlights of that endeavor was the breeding of Stardom Bound, a juvenile filly. She brought Charlie a victory in the Breeder's Cup Juvenile Fillies Race at Santa Anita in October 2008.
